FCL Yankees (29-26)
Their game against the FCL Phillies was suspended in the bottom of the 1st. They will try to finish it tomorrow.
The most important development is that Dax Kilby was in the lineup.
DSL Yankees (22-12) (Defeated the DSL Blue Jays, 9-3. For a while, they owned a team OPS above 1.000. That was never going to last, but they still own an impressive .947, which is 64 points higher than the second-best squad.)
CF Isaias Castillo: 1-for-4, HR (10), RBI, 2 R, 2 SB (16), BB, 2 K
Castillo set the tone with a leadoff home run. He leads the DSL in home runs.
SS Stiven Marinez: 1-for-4, 2 R, SB (28), BB, K
Marinez owns a 9-game hitting streak (12-for-33).
RF Yostin Pena: 3-for-5, 2 2B (11), 3 RBI, 2 R, SB (23), CS (3), K
Pena is hitting .386/.466/.682 in 161 PA. In 33 games, he has driven home 57 runs and scored 49 times. We know that Wilberson De Pena is likely to win the Triple Crown. How close is Pena to doing the same? He is 4th in the league in batting average, two home runs behind Castillo, and is the overwhelming leader in RBI.

One of the players ahead of Pena in batting average is Torres, who is hitting .390.

The 19-year-old owns a 1.56 ERA and 41/15 K/BB over 34.2 innings.
RHP Braulio Jaquez: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
The Yankees signed Jaquez in June, and this is his professional debut. That doesn’t mean he is young, as he is 23 years old.

Melendez is one day younger than Aguilar. He has started five games behind the plate and is 6-for-27 with more walks (12) than strikeouts (9)

.310/.431/.414 in 72 PA. It will be interesting to see which of the handful of catchers the Yankees signed earlier this year stick behind the plate. So far, the 17-year-old Ramirez has only one start behind the dish.
