Injury Log

Notes:

Obviously, something didn’t go right in Dax Kilbys debut, as he was out of the FCL lineup again today. It’s not common to give a player a week off after their debut.

In better news, Jackson Lovich returned to the lineup for Tampa.

Aaron Judge seems to be destined for the injured list. Jasson Dominguez is beginning a rehab stint, which is encouraging, but he is likely a week or so away, assuming all goes well.  Giancarlo Stanton doesn’t have a rehab stint scheduled yet.

Hanner has been awesome this year, but was unable to keep Cruz’s runner from scoring.

Somerset (28-26) (Lost to Harrisburg, 5-4, in ten innings)

LF Jackson Castillo0-for-5, 2 K
DH Garrett Martin1-for-5, HR (18), RBI, R, K
18 home runs in 50 games definitely captures your attention, and it’s fair to point out that this is his second season here. It’s a souped-up league this year, but nobody else has more than 14 as of this writing.
1B Nicholas Torres2-for-5, HR (2), RBI, 2 R
Torres is 7-for-27 with a double and a home run since coming off the injured list.
RF DJ Gladney1-for-4, HR (8), 2 RBI, R, K
Gladney’s .503 SLG is the highest of his career, but home run power has always been in his profile.

6.81 ERA (35.2 IP, 33 H, 29 R, 27 ER, 9 HR, 22 BB, 57 K). It’s an interesting profile, filled with walks, home runs, and plenty of strikeouts.
RHP Kelly Austin1.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
RHP Chris Veach1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
Veach hasn’t allowed a run since allowing four in his Somerset debut (5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 5 K)
RHP Hayden Merda1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, HR
The home run was unfortunate, but Merda continues his strikeout surge. He has 39 strikeouts over 22.1 innings. The home run was the second one he allowed this season.
LHP Will Brian: (L, 1-2)  1.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
RHP Ben Grable0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K

SS Kaeden Kent0-for-4, 2 R, BB
RF Wilson Rodriguez3-for-5, R
After hitting .270/.391/.360 in May, he is off to a 5-for-14 start to June.

3B Roderick Arias0-for-5, 5 K
Not-so-productive outs.
2B Enmanuel Tejeda2-for-3, 2 2B (3), 3 R, CS (3), CI, BB, K
Tejeda is 12-for-60 (.200) since his promotion. He has walked ten times.
C Josue Gonzalez: 3-for-5, HR (6), 3 RBI, 2 R, 2 K
Gonzalez continues to flash some pop at this level after a disappointing 2025 campaign for Tampa (.287 SLG in 78 games).
LF Josh Moylan: 3-for-5, HR (7), 3 RBI, R, 2 K
CF Camden Troyer2-for-4, R, BB

LHP Allen Facundo6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 12 K
Facundo has a 12-strikeout and 13-strikeout effort this season. He owns a 4.88 ERA over 31.1 innings with a 45/21 K/BB since his promotion. Including his time with Tampa, he has struck out 72 batters over 46.1 innings.

Tampa (27-27) (Lost to Palm Beach, 3-0. They scored 26 runs in the first two games. Baseball!)

Perhaps he wishes he had sat out one more game.

LF Luis Puello: 1-for-3, BB, 2 K

DH Engelth Urena1-for-3, BB
C Ediel Rivera1-for-4, 2 K
1B Austin Green1-for-4, 2 K
RF Gabriel Lara0-for-4, K

RHP Alexander Cornielle3.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K
His rehab stint was moved here today.  Once he is ready, he will provide some starting pitching depth in Scranton. Looking at his Savant data, he is a kitchen sink type who throws low-90s 4-seamers and sinkers.
RHP Mac Heuer2.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K
Heuer was the “piggyback” pitcher tonight. He averaged 95.2 MPH with his cutter, which could give you some insight into why he has some hype surrounding him. Heuer generated 11 whiffs, six with the cutter, three with the slider, and two with his sweeper.
RHP Greysen Carter1.2 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
3.52 ERA (23 IP, 16 H, 11 R, 9 ER, 1 HR, 18 BB, 30 K). Carter maxed out at 99.4 MPH (averaged 97.8 with his 4-seamer and 97.7 with his sinker).  Those are the only two pitches he featured.
LHP Parker Seay1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K
3.12 ERA (17.1 IP, 15 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 1 HR, 9 BB, 26 K)

FCL Yankees (12-12) (Lost to the Blue Jays, 19-4. 19 runs on 18 hits and ten walks. Not a great day for the pitching staff.)

3B Richard Matic1-for-4, 2B (8), RBI, R, SB (9), BB
Matic has reached base safely in all 24 games this season.
RF Wilberson De Pena1-for-5, 3 K
De Pena is 1-for-13 in June. A little slump seemed inevitable, as he entered June hitting .395/.451/.765.
DH Queni Pineda2-for-5, R, K
His power has dipped since an encouraging 2024 debut season. He does own a 20.2% BB rate this year, however (22.4% career).
2B Leni Done2-for-3, RBI, R, CS (3), BB
The 18-year-old continues his solid start (.299/.394/.483 in 104 PA).
C David McCann0-for-1, BB, K
   PH-C Diego Flores1-for-2, RBI, K
Flores makes his FCL debut. The 19-year-old didn’t play much in the DSL (36 games between 2024 and 2025).  Last year, he hit .246/.323/.333 with five doubles. He has yet to hit his first professional home run.
LF Estivenzon Montero0-for-4
SS Dexters Peralta0-for-4, RBI
1B Justin Capellan0-for-4, R, 2 K
CF Isael Arias1-for-4, K

RHP Manuel Cruz (L, 1-1): 1.2 IP, 5 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 2 HR
RHP Brian Arias0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K
RHP Sunayro Martina2.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, HR
RHP Jorge Luna1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
RHP Rafael Arias1 IP, 1 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 2 K
RHP Carlos Rondon1 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
Well, at least the 3-run efforts were distributed equally for the final four pitchers (though Rondon is a catcher).

DSL Yankees (1-2) (Lost to the Phillies, 9-8)

LF Isaias Castillo2-for-5, HR (2), RBI, 2 R, K
A nice follow-up to his cycle on Tuesday.
CF Yostin Pena1-for-5, 2B (4), R, K
SS Juan Torres3-for-5, 2 RBI, R, 2 SB (3)
In 50 DSL games, Torres is hitting .365/.411/.533 (11 doubles, 1 triple, 5 HR, 49 RBI, 34 R, 15-for-23 SB).
RF Eliezer Adames2-for-5, RBI, R, 2 SB (3), 2 K
3B Abrahan Pichardo0-for-3, R, 2 BB, 3 K
DH Juan Martinez2-for-3, 2B (1), RBI, SB (1), BB
Signed in January, this is Martinez’s professional debut. He is an 18-year-old catcher.
1B Jose Peralta1-for-4, 2B (1), 2 RBI, BB, 2 K
Peralta, an 18-year-old left-handed-hitting catcher, makes his 2026 debut. He played only one game last year, going 0-for-3.

RHP Jhosneyker Colina5 IP, 9 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
The 18-year-old Colina pitched to a 4.85 ERA in 42.2 innings with a 30/20 K/BB in 2025.

DSL Bombers (0-3) (Lost to DSL Cardinals, 8-1)

2B Dariel Santana1-for-4, R, SB (1), K
He didn’t play on Opening Day, and was excluded from my report on 6/2.  This is the 18-year-old switch hitter’s debut campaign. He was signed on May 4th. I can’t find any signing bonus information, so he was likely cheap.
SS Mani Cedeno0-for-2, SF, RBI, 2 K
Given his pedigree, I will try to report on him every day. No guarantees, though.
C Alessandro Rodriguez2-for-2, HBP

RHP Josue Silvestre1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K
