Schuemann did OK as a “last man off the bench” type, though he started to play a little more than he should have.

One home run away from his third career 20+ home run campaign.

LF Cole Gabrielson: 3-for-4, 2B (1), K
Gabrielson compiles three of Scranton’s four hits. He is 11-for-36 at this level.

Hanner supposedly has a good sweeper, which generated two whiffs on two swings tonight. I thought we might see him instead of Yerry de los Santos, but de los Santos appears to be the designated call-up reliever.

Morales’ 42nd extra-base hit (100 games). He has 20 doubles, 4 triples, and 18 home runs.

3.65 ERA (81.1 IP, 51 H, 37 R, 33 ER, 14 HR, 41 BB, 114 K). Rivas throws well in his first August start after compiling a 1.24 ERA in 43.2 innings in June/July.

Hudson Valley (48-54; 18-20 in the second half) (Defeated Greenville, 11-4, in a rain-shortened 7-inning game. They went 7-for-7 stealing bases)
SS Core Jackson: 1-for-3, 2 R, SB (30), 2 BB
Jackson is 30-for-37 stealing bases.
CF Jackson Lovich: 2-for-4, SF, 3 RBI, 2 R, 2 SB (5), K
Lovich is 12-for-30 with seven RBI since his promotion (hit safely in all eight games). He is 5-for-6 stealing bases, though he surprisingly has yet to compile an extra-base hit. By the way, this was his second straight start in CF.
C Eric Genther: 2-for-4, RBI, 3 R, SB (6), BB
.270/.401/.421 in 198 PA. He continues his solid offensive campaign as he tries to “re-learn” catching.
1B David McCann: 1-for-4, HR (1), 3 RBI, R, 2 K
McCann homers in his Hudson Valley debut. He hit nine home runs in 45 games between the FCL/Tampa.
LF Dean Toigo: 1-for-4, 2 RBI, K
The 20th-round pick out of Arizona State makes his debut. He hit .321/.422/.650 with 20 home runs in 283 PA. It was his only season at the school (transfered from UNLV)
2B Enmanuel Tejeda: 2-for-3, SB (12), BB
RF Camden Troyer: 0-for-4, 2 K
3B Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek: 1-for-3, 2 R, SB (2), BB
DH Josue Gonzalez: 3-for-4, 2B (11), R, SB (8), K

RHP Jose M. Rodriguez (W, 1-0) : 2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
Rodriguez was promoted here after compiling a 2.47 ERA in 43.2 innings for Tampa. He owned an impressive 33.2% K, but walked batters at a 13.6% rate.
RHP Wilmy Sanchez: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
Tampa (60-43; 25-12 in the second half) (Defeated Clearwater, 6-1)
DH Dax Kilby: 2-for-5, R, 2 SB (2)
Kilby is 10-for-35 (.286) with three doubles, a homer, and 11 RBI since being activated by Tampa. These are his first two stolen bases in 2026 (16-for-17 in 18 games in 2025).
RF Wilberson De Pena: 0-for-5, R, K
De Pena started hot (two HR in first three games) but is 0-for-13 in his last three games. Small sample size!
CF Yostin Pena: 2-for-5, 3B (2), HR (1), 3 RBI, R, K
According to Statcast, Pena’s home run was hit 450 feet at 110 MPH. The triple? Merely 419 feet at 107.9 MPH. Videos are on MILB.com. De Pena rightfully earned a lot of hype based on his FCL campaign, but Pena was no slouch in the DSL (.375/.457/.646 in 175 PA. He drove home 57 runs in 37 games).
3B Hans Montero: 0-for-5, 2 SB (33), K
LF Diego Castellanos: 0-for-4, BB, K
The 21-year-old hit .383/.458/.554 in 294 plate appearances for St. Mary’s (CA). The 14th-round selection entered the transfer portal and met with Teneessee at one point (perhaps others as well). He decided to turn pro instead.

Armstrong’s first professional hit.
C Luis Puello: 3-for-4, 2B (14), R, K
At this level: .260/.332/.489 in 245 PA (14 doubles, 3 triples, 10 HR, 42 RBI, 34 R, 7-for-11 SB, 8.98% BB, 28.98% K)
SS Anthony Potestio: 2-for-4, HR (1), 3 RBI, R, K
Potestio, a left-handed bat, was inspired by George Lombard Jr. and Jacob Lombard. The Yankees’ 11th round pick (out of University of California, San Diego) hit .298/.431/.436 in 240 plate appearances in 2026. In college, he played every position except catcher, first base, and center field. In 2026, he was their primary shortstop.
