Notes:
Nothing tonight.
Scranton (40-38) (Defeated Indianapolis, 8-3)
2B Marco Luciano: 2-for-4, 2B (5), 2 RBI, R, BB, 2 K
RF Yanquiel Fernandez: 1-for-5, RBI, R, 2 K
Fernandez has a 9-game hitting streak (10-for-37; .270).
CF Garrett Martin: 1-for-5, 2B (2), R, K
Martin has a 12-game hitting streak (dating back to his time in Somerset). He has two doubles and three home runs in six games since his promotion.
1B Tyler Hardman: 1-for-3, RBI, R, SB (5), 2 BB
Hardman is hitting .250 with an .801 OPS since his promotion.
DH Ernesto Martinez Jr.: 2-for-5, 2B (8), 4 RBI, K
3B Jonathan Ornelas: 1-for-4, K
C Payton Henry: 2-for-4, 2 R, K
LF Duke Ellis: 2-for-4, R, SB (33), 2 K
SS Owen Cobb: 1-for-4, R, K
Cobb’s Triple-A debut. He replaced Oswaldo Cabrera on the roster.
RHP Elmer Rodriguez: 4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 6 BB, 4 K
Rodriguez with one of those bend-don’t-break performances. His ERA is an impressive 2.78 in 55 innings. He has struck out 55 and allowed only four home runs. It’s the walks. He’s up to 30 at this level (13.2% BB) and walked seven over 13 MLB innings (13.3% BB). He has shown better control in the past (9.4% in 150 innings last year), but even that is on the higher end of the spectrum. It’s something for him to work on.
RHP Zach Messinger: (W, 4-1) 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K
RHP Yovanny Cruz: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
While he didn’t strike anybody out, he was consistently over 100 MPH tonight, topping out at 100.9.
RHP Bradley Hanner: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K
RHP Carson Coleman: 1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
Somerset (38-34)
Their game against New Hampshire was postponed. They will try to play two tomorrow.
Hudson Valley (33-38) (Mauled Bowling Green, 13-3)
3B Kaeden Kent: 4-for-5, 2B (19), 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 SB (19)
Kent, who has nine doubles in June, is on a 5-game hitting streak (12-for-25; .480) and is hitting .310 with an .806 OPS. He has ten 3+ hit efforts this season.
SS Core Jackson: 2-for-5, HR (9), 3 RBI, R, 2 K
Jackson has a 7-game hitting streak (10-for-34; 1 double, 2 HR). His offensive output continues to surprise.
C Eric Genther: 2-for-5, 2B (10), R, 2 K
1B Kyle West: 2-for-5, 2 R, 2 K
LF Wilson Rodriguez: 1-for-4, HR (8), SF, 3 RBI, R, 2 K
Rodriguez has homered in three straight games (6 HR, 20 RBI in June). His stock is on the rise and I wouldn’t be surprised if teams inquired about him at the deadline.
2B Roderick Arias: 4-for-5, 2B (10), HR (7), 2 RBI, 2 R, CS (6), K
His hot streak certainly came out of nowhere. He is 30-for-80 (.375; 6 doubles, 5 HR) in June and has hit safely in 18 of 20 games during the month.
DH Enmanuel Tejeda: 1-for-5, 2B (6), RBI, R, 2 K
CF Camden Troyer: 0-for-5, R, 3 K
RF Robbie Burnett: 1-for-4, R
RHP Rory Fox: (W, 5-3) 8 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, HR
What a performance. Fox required only 89 pitches to get through eight innings. He also tossed seven innings in a start earlier this season. In his debut campaign, he owns a 5.21 ERA over 65.2 innings (69 H, 49 R, 38 ER, 10 HR, 20 BB, 68 K). A lot of unearned runs in his profile, but seven of them came in one start.
RHP Hansel Rincon: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
Tampa (39-34) (Defeated Dunedin, 6-2)
CF Brando Mayea: 1-for-4, RBI, R, 2 K
3B Hans Montero: 0-for-4, RBI, R, BB, 2 K
LF Luis Puello: 1-for-4, 2B (6), 3 RBI, 2 K
Puello made his one hit count. He has 15 extra-base hits (6 doubles, 2 triples, 7 HR) in 31 games at this level, and his triple slash is a solid .274/.333/.524 in 135 PA. He has 135 innings at catcher, 118.1 in LF, 16 at first base, and one in right field. Is the 20-year-old a legitimate prospect? Hard to know, but he is hitting in his first taste of a full-season season.
SS Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek: 0-for-3, BB, K
DH Engelth Urena: 0-for-3, BB
Urena remains the best hope among their many young catchers. The offense is still inconsistent, though (.203/.355/.345 in 245 PA). There’s breakout potential in his 21-year-old body – whether he can tap into that is way up in the air. We are talking beyond the exosphere.
2B Luis Escudero: 0-for-2, 2 BB, K
It’s a small sample still, but he is hitting .300/.476/.683 in 82 PA (5 doubles, 6 HR, 14 RBI, 23 R, 25.6% BB, 19.5% K, 6-for-6 SB). Don’t ask me – I am just along for the ride.
1B David McCann: 2-for-4, 2B (3), R, K
C Ediel Rivera: 1-for-4, 2 R
RF Gabriel Lara: 0-for-3, R, BB, K
LHP Henry Lalane (W, 3-1): 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 12 K
Lalane’s first career double-digit strikeout game. This may surprise you, given the hype, but injuries have limited his time. Season: 3.09 ERA (55.1 IP, 37 H, 20 R, 19 ER, 1 HR, 22 BB, 70 K). Lalane’s velocity is spiking, folks. He reached 98.4 MPH tonight and generated an incredible 20 whiffs (including nine with his change-up and seven with his slider). Interestingly, his slider isn’t thrown hard, at least not tonight: It averaged only 78.2 MPH with six inches of horizontal break. Regardless, Lalane has been nasty lately. In his last six starts: 1.27 ERA (35.1 IP, 14 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 HR, 10 BB, 50 K). Four of those five runs were allowed in one start. Is he finally breaking out?
RHP Jose Martinez: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
LHP Pedro Rodriguez (S, 3): 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
El Cheapo.
FCL Yankees (19-21) (Lost to the Phillies, 7-5)
3B Richard Matic: 1-for-4, CS (4), BB
Matic has a 5-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in 39 of his 40 games.
CF Wilberson De Pena: 0-for-5
DH Queni Pineda: 1-for-3, HR (5), RBI, 2 R, BB, 2 K
The 19-year-old catcher is hitting .255/.383/.394 in 197 PA. He tied his personal best for home runs in a season today.
2B Leni Done: 1-for-4, R, 2 K
Done recently turned 19. He hit well in 46 DSL games last season and even better in 40 FCL games this season.
LF Jose Castro: 0-for-1, R, SB (17), 2 HBP, BB, K
He’s only played in 24 games, but he is maintaining his 1.000+ OPS (.314/.520/.586 in 100 PA). He has stolen 17 bases in 24 attempts.
RF Francisco Vilorio: 1-for-4, 2 RBI, R, K
SS Dexters Peralta: 2-for-4, 2B (4), RBI, K
Peralta has 18 extra-base hits (4 doubles, 4 triples, 10 HR) in 40 games. In 88 career games before 2026, he had 16 extra-base hits (10 doubles, 1 triple, 5 HR).
C Justin Capellan: 1-for-3, HBP, K
1B Christofer Reyes: 0-for-4, 3 K
RHP Omar Gonzalez (L, 2-3): 3 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 0 K, HR
LHP Marco Manzano: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K
RHP Enixon Sanchez: 2.2 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K
Sanchez’s struggles continue. He’s only 18, so there’s time to develop.
RHP Austin Breedlove: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K
DSL Yankees (10-8) (Lost a shootout to the DSL Rockies, 13-10. The two squads combined for 29 hits and nine errors.)
LF Isaias Castillo: 3-for-6, 2B (9), RBI, R, SB (8), CS (1), K
Castillo leads the league with 30 runs. He is hitting .364/.479/.779 in 94 PA.
SS Stiven Marinez: 1-for-4, RBI, R, SB (12)
Marinez has 26 RBI and 25 runs in 18 games. He is also 12-for-12 stealing bases.
SS Emmanuel Orozco: 1-for-2, 2B (2), R, K
I am not sure why Marinez left the game.
CF Yostin Pena: 1-for-5, RBI, 2 R, 3 SB (12)
Pena remains the league leader in RBI (33)
2B Juan Torres: 2-for-5, 2 2B (11), 3 RBI, R, K
The high-octane Yankees have three players (Torres, Castillo, Pena) tied for the league lead in hits (28). Torres has ten multi-hit games this season. He is hitting .384/.452/.726 in 84 PA and leads the league with 11 doubles.
C Juan Martinez: 3-for-5, 2 R, SB (6), BB
The 18-year-old is off to an 18-for-38 (.474) start to his career. He has three 3-hit efforts in 11 games.
DH Cesar Lopez: 3-for-4, SF, 2 RBI
Lopez, who has a 10-game hitting streak, is hitting .356/.473/.542. The offensive numbers on this squad are incredible.
3B Alfred Ciriaco: 1-for-3, RBI, BB
RF Eliezer Adames: 0-for-4, BB, K
1B Jose Peralta: 1-for-3, RBI, 2 R, 2 BB
RHP Jose Vargas: 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
RHP Emanuel Vargas: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K
DSL Bombers (8-10) (Defeated the DSL Marlins, 6-1. Nobody had a huge day, but most of the lineup contributed.)
DH Mani Cedeno: 0-for-4, 2 K
Cedeno was the only player in the starting lineup who didn’t contribute.
SS Germayhoni Beltre: 0-for-2, SF, 2 RBI, BB
2B Carlos Bello: 1-for-4, 2B (5), R, K
Bello has five doubles and four home runs in 16 games.
RF David Carrera: 1-for-4, 2B (3), RBI, R, K
1B Poly Ojeda: 1-for-3, RBI, R, SB (1), BB

C Jesus Guerrero: 0-for-2, R, 2 BB, K
CF Alfiery Matos: 1-for-4, RBI
LF Sebastian Pinto: 1-for-2, R, BB
3B Adrian Feliz: 1-for-2, RBI, R, SB (1)
