Notes:
Oswaldo Cabrera has been scorching. While that isn’t the reason why he was promoted, it’s nice to see him get an opportunity for the next ten days.
Scranton (38-38) (Lost to Indianapolis, 8-6)

C Payton Henry: 2-for-5, K
3B-2B-3B Cole Gabrielson: 0-for-3, 2 BB, 2 K
A lot of going back and forth between positions today. I am not sure why, though Gabrielson (normally an outfielder) committed three of Scranton’s five errors. Luciano and Hardman, who also moved around, committed the others.
RF Kenedy Corona: 2-for-3, RBI, R, BB, K
RHP Adam Kloffenstein: 4 IP, 3 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, HR

RHP Rafael Montero (L, 0-4): 0.1 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 0 K
The veteran reliever hasn’t pitched well, but it isn’t like he is being counted on to help the big league roster.

2B Enmanuel Tejeda: 0-for-5
CF Camden Troyer: 0-for-3, BB, K
RF Robbie Burnett: 0-for-4, K
Burnett (23) recently finished his rehab stint in the FCL. The Yankees signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia last year.
RHP Luis Serna: 6 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 2 HR
4.02 ERA (65 IP, 52 H, 34 R, 30 ER, 5 HR, 27 BB, 72 K). This was only the second time in his career that he allowed multiple home runs in a game. He’s pitched well enough to put him on your radar.

RHP Bryce Warrecker: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K

1B David McCann: 0-for-4, BB, 3 K
2B Luis Escudero: 3-for-4, 2B (5), HR (5), 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 SB (6), BB, K
Three Tampa hitters had a chance at the cycle. Escudero has five doubles and five home runs in 18 games since his promotion. He had seven home runs in 133 career games before his promotion. As for the stolen bases, he once stole 26 in 44 DSL games (2024), so it’s not a foreign concept.

RF Gabriel Lara: 1-for-4, HR (2), RBI, 2 R, BB, 2 K
RHP Thatcher Hurd: 4.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 10 K
