2B Kevin Verde0-for-4, K

RHP Cade Smith (L, 2-3): 3.2 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 HR
6.82 ERA (34.1 IP, 41 H, 27 R, 26 ER, 10 HR, 18 BB, 37 K). It’s been a struggle for the 24-year-old in his suddenly juiced-up offensive environment.
RHP Ben Grable1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
Since promotion: 10.1 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 1 HR, 3 BB, 13 K.  He had back-to-back rough outings but has bounced back to compile back-to-back strong outings.

RHP Matt Keating1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
The strikeouts are there (26), but he has also walked 15 in 15.2 innings. His control has been better lately, however.

Hudson Valley (21-25) (Lost to Bowling Green, 10-1. Bowling Green is not the team you want to see on the other side of the field. Pure dominance)

SS Kaeden Kent0-for-2, K
Kent was ejected from the game.
   SS Core Jackson0-for-0
Jackson, scheduled to have the day off on his second day back off the injured list, finished out the inning defensively after Kent was ejected.
   PH-1B Josue Gonzalez1-for-3
LF Wilson Rodriguez1-for-4, SB (8), BB
Rodriguez’s numbers aren’t great; yet, I still find them encouraging. Maybe the .270/.391/.351 line in May has something to do with that.
C Eric Genther1-for-5
DH Kyle West1-for-3, 2B (7), R, BB, K
West has at least shown more pop in May (5 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs; .436 SLG). His SLG was .289 in April.
3B-SS Roderick Arias0-for-4, 2 K
It was an emergency situation, but I will note that this is his first action at shortstop in 2026.
2B Enmanuel Tejeda1-for-3, HBP
CF Camden Troyer1-for-3, BB
1B-3B Josh Moylan3-for-4, K
Moylan has two 3-hit efforts in his last three games.
RF Cole Gabrielson0-for-4, K

RHP Luis Serna (L, 2-2): 4 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 5 BB, 4 K
3.59 ERA (42.2 IP, 33 H, 19 R, 17 ER, 1 HR, 18 BB, 50 K). It’s been mostly good stuff since he came off the injured list, but he ran into a buzzsaw today. Due to his injury history, his personal high for innings is 69.2. That is something to monitor as the season goes on.
RHP Bryce Warrecker1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, HR
RHP Wilmy Sanchez1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
RHP Hansel Rincon1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
RHP Thomas Balboni Jr.: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
RHP Brady Kirtner1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
4.20 ERA (15 IP, 11 H, 10 R, 7 ER, 1 HR, 9 BB, 22 K)

Tampa (23-23) (Defeated Daytona, 8-7)

SS Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek: 1-for-3, R, 2 BB, K
It feels as if Martin-Grudzielanek has figured this level out. He is 25-for-81 (.309) with four doubles, four home runs, and 12 walks in May.
3B Hans Montero1-for-4, 2B (10), RBI, R, BB
Montero continues his hot May. He has five doubles, two triples, and six home runs (.623 SLG).
LF Luis Puello1-for-4, R, BB, K
CF Willy Montero2-for-4, 2 RBI, R, SB (8), BB, K
RF JoJo Jackson2-for-4, 2B (7), 3 RBI, BB, 2 K
Other than drawing some walks, it’s been a slow month for Jackson. Nice to see him have a good night.
C Engelth Urena: 2-for-4, 2B (8), HR (2), RBI, R, BB, K
We can continue to hope, hope, hope that the power starts to show up consistently.
DH Ediel Rivera1-for-5, 2B (3), R, 3 K
1B John Cristino: 1-for-4, 2B (1), RBI, R, BB, 2 K
2B Luis Escudero0-for-3, R, 2 BB

RHP Wyatt Parliament4 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
Parliament’s Tampa debut. I am not sure why Jackie Robinson Ballpark doesn’t have Savant data – I know the ballpark underwent a major renovation during the off-season, though.  One thing I can see is that he generated ten whiffs.
RHP J.T. Etheridge: (W, 4-0)  3.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 5 K
4.70 ERA (23 IP, 20 H, 14 R, 12 ER, 1 HR, 14 BB, 32 K)
RHP Josh Tiedemann:   1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
RHP Jordarlin Mendoza (S, 2): 0.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
