Add RHP Sebastian Keane to the list of organizational releases. Drafted in the 18th round in the 2022 draft out of Northeastern, Keane pitched well in 2025. He posted a 3.43 ERA in 27 games, covering 39.1 innings. However, he had an inflated walk rate.
His release came a few weeks after he was placed on the 60-day injured list for Hudson Valley. The two notes could be related.
RHP Chase Hampton is listed as “Not Yet Reported” on the Somerset roster. I wouldn’t read much into that, unless they give us a reason to.
