Notes:
Nothing to report for the second day in a row. Sheesh.
Scranton (34-31) (Defeated Syracuse, 5-1. The Railriders are playing great baseball lately, but they are 9.5 games behind first-place Lehigh Valley.)
2B Jorbit Vivas: 0-for-2, RBI, R, 2 BB
Sometimes, it is hard to report on kids after they make their big league debuts. You look at the numbers (.306/.429/.444) and remain impressed. However, you remember how much he struggled while he was up. If anything, it should be a reminder that numbers are a part of the story and all we have sometimes. But there is more to it than that.
LF Everson Pereira: 1-for-3, HR (11), 3 RBI, 2 R, BB

RHP Colten Brewer (W, 1-1): 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
RHP Harrison Cohen: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K
We finally get some Savant data on Cohen. He featured three pitches (4-seamer, change, cutter), hitting 94.8 MPH with the 4-seamer. His changeup generated three whiffs on eight swings. His results have been strong in the minors, and he is a step away from helping in the big league bullpen. He is Rule 5 eligible this winter.
RHP Geoff Hartlieb (S, 1): 1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Hartlieb dialed it up to 97.6.

RF Luis Durango: 0-for-1, K
C Omar Martinez: 0-for-3, 2 K
2B Jose Colmenares: 0-for-1, RBI, CS (3), 2 BB
Last night, the only run was scored on a Tomas Frick sacrifice fly. This evening, the only run was courtesy of a bases-loaded walk. Whatever it takes!
3B Josh Moylan: 0-for-2, BB, 2 K
SS Brenny Escanio: 0-for-2, SB (8), BB
DH Tomas Frick: 0-for-3, K

Tampa (33-27) (Lost to Clearwater, 14-1. The Tarpons committed four errors in this monstrosity of a game. I don’t even want to write about it)
SS Roderick Arias: 2-for-4
Back-to-back multi-hit efforts. Hey, it’s something. He’s hitting .171/.311/.260 in 177 PA.
LF Brian Sanchez: 0-for-4, RBI
C Edgleen Perez: 0-for-4
DH Engelth Urena: 2-for-4, K

On a bad day, Toole continues his recent good play (12-for-30 (.400) in June with 12 RBI and a 7-for-7 stolen base rate)
1B Hans Montero: 0-for-3
RHP J.T. Etheridge (L, 2-1): 5.1 IP, 5 H, 8 R, 4 ER, 5 BB, 6 K

Gonzalez, normally a C/1B, is needed for three outs on the hill.
FCL (15-16) (Lost to the Tigers, 7-2)
C Manuel Palencia: 1-for-4, RBI, K
Palencia was 4-for-29 to start the season. He is 23-for-61 (.377) since.
SS Dexters Peralta: 1-for-4, R, K
DH Ediel Rivera: 1-for-4
LF Gabriel Lara: 1-for-4, 2B (4), SB (2), 3 K
Lara is 10-for-20 (3 doubles, 6 RBI, 4 R) in June.
2B Luis Escudero: 2-for-4, RBI, CS (3)
1B John Cristino: 1-for-2, R, BB, K
RHP Mariano Salomon (L, 3-1): 4.1 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 3 HR
2.45 ERA (22 IP, 11 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 4 HR, 6 BB, 26 K). He’s 22, so don’t get too crazy – but he has pitched well in rookie ball over the last three seasons (2.87 ERA; 142/25 K/BB over 113 innings)
RHP Justin Lange: 1 IP, 0 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
Holding out hope for Lange is foolhardy. But I’m here for it! This was his second rehab appearance.
RHP Chance Nolan: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
The converted QB hasn’t allowed an earned run in nine appearances (8.2 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 5 BB, 5 K)
DSL Yankees (3-6) (Lost to the DSL Phillies White, 10-1)
SS Mani Cedeno: 0-for-3, K
Cedeno, likely their most hyped DSL prospect, is off to a 4-for-25 start. I wouldn’t be concerned about that.
DH Francisco Vilorio: 0-for-3, K
3B Alfred Ciriaco: 1-for-3, RBI
LHP Luis Rodriguez: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Nice outing for the 20-year-old in his debut season (fourth game)
DSL Bombers (3-6) (Lost to the DSL Rockies, 15-10. This is beautiful – the Rockies scored 15 runs on six hits. 11 walks, a million (give or take a few) hit by pitches, a pair of errors)
CF Ruben Castillo: 1-for-5, R, 3 K
C Queni Pineda: 4-for-4, 2 2B (2), 2 RBI, 2 R, BB
After his .254/.434/.438 campaign, he is 10-for-27 this season. I think some may have expected to see him in the FCL to start the season. Whether he will get there before the FCL season ends, who knows?
DH Browm Martinez: 3-for-4, HR (2), 3 RBI, R, SB (7)
Martinez is off to quite a start: 8-for-20; 2 HR, 8 RBI, 9 R, 7-for-7 SB. Like Pineda, he is only 18. Also like Pineda, he had a solid debut campaign in 2024 (.278/.386/.313 with a 21-for-27 stolen base rate).
3B Leni Done: 0-for-3, 2 R, SB (2), BB
LF Richard Meran: 2-for-3, 2B (2), 2 RBI, R, SB (1), BB
