Entering this season, he had a 133/63 K/BB over 95.2 innings. The improvement in his walk rate is remarkable. His 70 strikeouts place him in the top ten in all of minor league baseball, but that could have changed based on other outings tonight.

His .160 batting average comes with a .327 OBP, so there’s that. He once had a 5-walk game (2022), and this is his second 3-SB effort.

Nowhere in my Pitching for Dummies manual does it refer to walking the first two batters seven times as an effective strategy.
