Trivino’s rehab clock was about to run out and he is out of options. The Yankees asked for an extension today and were granted one. Hence, he can stay here for the remainder of the Triple-A season, if needed. FYI: The Yankees have a 2025 option that I think they will pick up (unless they think he is fried)

.278/.362/.526 in 265 PA. Don’t count him out in the first baseman discussion. The Yankees must figure out first base in 2025 and beyond. It is tough to get a read on how they view their minor league options.

Seigler’s previous best for stolen bases was 16. He was always known as an athletic catcher. The move to 2B has likely allowed him to save his legs and run more. I have said it all year: I won’t convince you that he is suddenly a prospect again. It is just fun to watch him have a healthy year at a new position.

The Yankees didn’t have a great minor league season but some of their pitching prospects surged down the stretch (Messinger, Cade Smith, Josh Grosz, Bailey Dees, Trystan Vrieling, Kyle Carr, Trent Sellers, Ben Shields. Also, Cam Schlittler pitched well enough after his promotion to Somerset)
