Nothing to report.
Scranton (49-53; 15-13 in the second half) (Defeated Rochester, 6-5)
3B Oswald Peraza: 1-for-5, 2 RBI, K
5-for-12 with 4 RBI in August.
RF Everson Pereira: 2-for-5, 2 K
Pereira is hitting .341/.371/.582 since his promotion. He has compiled three straight 2-hit games (five multi-hit games in his last six games played). When does he get to the Bronx? It may just be by the end of August. The strikeouts are still too high, but I don’t think getting his feet wet for a month or so is going to kill him.
C Austin Wells: 1-for-4, 2B (3), RS
Wells has hit safely in six of his last seven games. He is taking his walks (.367 OBP) but the power has yet to show up in Scranton.
1B Andres Chaparro: 2-for-4, HR (20), RBI, RS
Chaparro joins Tyler Hardman and Estevan Florial in the organization’s 20 HR club and ties his personal best for HR in a season. He is hitting .253/.345/.481 in 417 PA.
DH Carlos Narvaez: 1-for-3, 2B (6), RBI, RS, BB, 2 K
LF Franchy Cordero: 1-for-3, RS, BB, K
2B Jamie Westbrook: 1-for-2 RS, 2 BB
CF Brandon Lockridge: 1-for-4, RS
Lockridge has hit safely in eight of his last nine games. His ability to play CF and steal bases makes him a prime Rule 5 choice (even if he was passed over in 2022)
SS Wilmer Difo: 1-for-4, RBI, CS (4)
RHP Will Warren: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 2 HR
Since promotion: 5.22 ERA (50 IP, 48 H, 37 R, 29 ER, 10 HR, 27 BB, 52 K). He didn’t allow a HR in 29.1 IP for Somerset. Triple-A is just souped up for offense – that doesn’t mean Warren has been great. It just means that it is not an easy level to pitch in.
RHP Deivi Garcia: 0.1 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 0 K
RHP Aaron McGarity (W, 5-2): 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K

Somerset (58-39; 16-13 in the second half) (Lost to Akron, 8-2)

CF Elijah Dunham: 1-for-4, RS
1B Mickey Gasper: 0-for-3, RS, BB, K
SS Jesus Bastidas: 0-for-3, BB, K
With Trey Sweeney hurt last night, Bastidas was demoted down here to get some playing time in.
C Anthony Seigler: 1-for-2, 2 BB
2B Max Burt: 1-for-4, 2B (8), RBI, 2 K
RF Jeisson Rosario: 0-for-3, BB, 2 K
3B Eduardo Torrealba: 1-for-4, 2 K
Torrealba was promoted back up here. Somerset had an infield shortage before tonight.
RHP Yoendrys Gomez: 3 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 2 K
2.62 ERA (34.1 IP, 21 H, 12 R, 10 ER, 2 HR, 24 BB, 38 K)
LHP Josh Maciejewski: 1.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
RHP Jesus Liranzo: 1.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, HR
RHP Bailey Dees: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K

.253/.347/.396 in 334 PA. He has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games.
C Agustin Ramirez: 1-for-5, HR (8), 3 RBI, RS, 2 K
If you are going to have one hit, may as well make it a 3-run bomb. Ramirez is hitting .379 with a 1.138 OPS in 112 PA since his promotion (10 doubles, 8 HR, 21 RBI, 20 R). Overall, in 344 PA, he has 17 doubles, 15 HR, 56 RBI, and 55 runs scored. An outstanding season for the 21-year-old catcher.
DH Christopher Familia: 1-for-4, HR (6), RBI, RS
Familia have five home runs in his last eight games. Between here and Tampa, he is hitting an incredible .322/.392/.695 with 17 home runs and 46 RBI in 194 PA. He is 23 years old and should be in Somerset for 2024.
1B Spencer Henson: 1-for-4, RS, 2 K
RF Grant Richardson: 1-for-3, HR (12), 2 RBI, RS, BB
Richardson has homered in three straight games.
LF Aldenis Sanchez: 0-for-2, 2 BB, 2 K
2B Luis Santos: 1-for-4, SB (8)
3B Marcos Cabrera: 1-for-4, RS, 2 K
LHP Brock Selvidge: (W, 2-0) 7.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, HR
They stretched him into the 8th inning, where a hit he allowed eventually came around to score. Whatever – another brilliant effort from Selvidge. He has two straight 7+ inning efforts (14.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 12 K). Overall, including his time with Tampa, he is 6-4 with a 3.09 ERA in 96 IP (85 H, 38 R, 33 ER, 4 HR, 25 BB, 106 K). Selvidge has been mostly brilliant from the start and is one of very few left-handed starters in the system.
LHP Clay Aguilar: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
While he did allow one of Selvidge’s runners to score, it was on a ground ball with the runner on third base.
Tampa (47-51; 16-16 in the second half) (Defeated Bradenton, 7-4)
SS Jared Serna: 0-for-3, RS, 2 BB, 2 K

C Omar Martinez: 4-for-5, HR (16), 3 RBI, RS
Back-to-back 4-hit efforts for Martinez. The other night, he went 4-for-6 with 3 HR so he is 8-for-11 with 4 HR and 8 RBI in his last two games.

2-for-9 with three walks to start his career.
SS Hans Montero: 0-for-4

RHP Jordarlin Mendoza (W, 4-0): 5 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K

DSL Yankees (25-14) – Defeated the DSL Bombers (19-21), 10-1
Yankees:
CF Brando Mayea: 3-for-4, RBI, 2 RS, BB, CS (4)
Mayea’s first career 3-hit game. After going through a bit of a slump, he has back-to-back multi-hit games and is 8-for-23 in his last five games.
C Josue Gonzalez: 2-for-3, RS, 2 BB
.371/.562/.629 in 105 strong plate appearances. As gaudy as those numbers are they were even crazier as this snaps an 0-for-11 stretch.
2B Santiago Gomez: 2-for-5, 2 RBI, RS, K
1B Jhon Imbert: 2-for-4, 2 RS, BB, 2 SB (15)
